So, another concert packed month. I didn't get any pic's, but the Melvins played MY hometown Libertyville Illinois of all places. Hands down - the best Melvins show ever. Then, we hit Live Nation's lakefront Northerly Island venue for the Allman Bros with my good friends Marty, Mike and Dave followed by a monumental production by U2 hosted by my bud Mike Oppermann.
Check out the hops. They're really getting tall. We've got a lot of tomatoes and peppers too.

Tool Tour 2009 - Toronto, Cincinnati, Chicago
I flew up to Toronto to hook up with Tool and Tweak Bird for a few days. While there I went to the Royal Ontario Museum and caught the exhibit of the Dead Sea Scrolls and some other fine historical relics. Then, me and lighting director extrordinaire Junior, were among the invited guests to the football exhibition game between Toronto and Real Madrid. Funny - as artists are known to do, at the last minute, the band guys decided not to go to the game. Our hosts were so bummed out they didn't put the food out in the skybox. Junior and I get no respect :) Anyway, when the tour bus arrived in Chicago there was 60,000 of our closest friends there to greet the band. I'm blown away.
Once again, I'm a proud pappa - of some lovely fresh hops. Homemade IPA coming soon to a fridge near me.
For our wedding anniversary this year, Chris and I took in a weekend in Chicago at the Four Seasons, dinner at Frontera Grill, Chicago Air Show at Navy Pier, and English Beat/Reel Big Fish at the HOB.
Then back to HOB a week later for Motorhead's show from stage right. Great view, thanks again boys!
Just under the wire, I got my cash for clunkers deal on a shiny new Prius. Thanks again to Mike Oppermann and the gang from Andrew Toyota Milwaukee.

Gardening and of course, more concerts
Hobbytime this year includes veggies, flowers and hops
growing at Jonestown. It's hilarious that you can get
manure in a bag - and you pay for it.
DMB twice, once with the family and once with
Judy and Roy Bethge. Judy is my backup in court
when I'm traveling.
Coldplay. A night of British Pop. It's not Radiohead
but I had fun.

Did I mention
aside from being the coolest
clients an attorney could ever have
there are many perks working for TOOL
While in LA this time, I took in a
Kings Hockey game with Gary,
had breakfast at Vivian's in Studio City
(best banana pancakes ever)
I hung out a bit with Mr. Carey in the loft
and photographed a low flying UFO over the Malibu sunset
You can't beat that
But no one believes me about the UFO
